Good morning colleagues,

The AoD Disability Employment TA Center's National Community of Practice (CoP) webinar, "Celebrating Olmstead: Exploring the 14c Report and National Trends in the Movement to End Segregation and Exploitation of People with Disabilities", will be hosted Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 3:00-4:00 P.M. Eastern Time. Join the DETAC in collaboration with our partners from the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) as we jointly recognize the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark Olmstead decision. Protection and Advocacy entities and other AoD grantees play a substantial role in supporting systems change and advancing community integration of people with disabilities by addressing subminimum wages under section 14c of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This webinar will introduce a new report, The National 14c Landscape, Implications and Recommendations to Elevate Competitive Integrated Employment. NDRN will highlight the findings of the report including gaps, successes, challenges, and recommendations for systems change efforts to effectively phase out sheltered workshops and subminimum wages. And we will jointly highlight the transformative efforts to increase competitive, integrated employment outcomes for people with disabilities. Presenters: Marlene Sallo Executive Director Dan Stewart Managing Attorney for Education and Employment Cheryl Bates-Harris Senior Disability Advocacy Specialist Registration is required. Please register for this webinar here.

We look forward to your participation!
