Junior Volunteer Program (JVP) 2023
When school is out for the summer, Geisinger Lewistown Hospital offers teens between the ages of 15-18 the chance to participate in an 8-week structured service program. We offer an exceptional experience through diverse service opportunities and planned educational sessions. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity to give back to your community. Not only is it rewarding but also gives students new experiences to learn & grow from. Students are also eligible to earn achievement awards for the number of hours served, which is a distinguished honor. Those who are interested must submit an online application, provide references, successfully complete the interview process, and commit to serve a minimum of 4-5 hours each week during our 8-week summer session that runs from June 19 through August 11, 2023.

The admission process is competitive and space in the program is limited, applicants to the program need to apply before March 31, 2023
