Trauma-Informed Policy for Youth: Structuring Policies and Programs to Support the Future of Work The brief highlights the pervasive nature of trauma and how adverse childhood experiences can negatively affect the employment outcomes of youth and young adults with disabilities. Young job seekers' mental health needs can be addressed by applying trauma-informed care practices to help decrease barriers to employment that impact youth with disabilities with histories of trauma.
