How We Can Help:

  • Center for Community Action coordinates, partners, and provides services and resources to low-income individuals and families, to promote self-sufficiency; and fosters community and economic development in our service area.

  • Center for Community Action services ten counties and each county has programs that are specific to that specific county.

  • Center for Community Action (CCA) offers the following programs in Mifflin and Juniata Counties: Rapid-Rehousing for those individuals that are homeless or facing homelessness; Vehicle Assistance Program; Scholarship Program; and Technology Lending Library.

  • Scholarship Program: CCA will provide up to $2000 to individuals that are enrolled in a post-secondary education or training program. The funding can be used to pay for tuition, books and other associated fees. Eligibility is determined by income (up to 200% of poverty level) and enrollment in a post-secondary education or training program.

  • Technology Lending Library: Offers computer, hot spots, and financial assistance for internet utilities to enable individuals to attend classes, trainings, participate in EARN/CareerLink classes, or assist with virtual school classroom for children. Eligibility is determined by income (up to 200% of poverty level) and a demonstrated need. At this time, CCA is partnering with both Juniata and Mifflin County libraries to lend hotspots to individuals in need.
